After noticing one too many of my precious lashes falling out, I had to do something quick. This DIY eyelash growth serum costs mere pennies per batch and does the trick.
About a month ago as I was washing my face, I lost a few lashes. I looked at my eyelashes and realized they were getting really sparse. But only on just one eye. One eye?! Couldn’t it at least be even?! I thought. (Sigh)
No woman wants to lose her precious lashes. I’d seen the likes of all sorts of lash serums floating around Instagram, but they were pricey and full of who knows what kinds of chemicals. Nasty chemicals by my eye? No thank you!
After a quick search, I settled on a simple DIY serum to try. I had all the ingredients on hand and whipped up a batch in five minutes. I started applying the serum to my lashes each night before bed. After a couple weeks, I noticed my sparse lashes filling in, and fewer were falling out. My lashes appeared healthier and stronger.
Here’s the line up of ingredients I settled on – castor oil, almond oil, coconut oil, and Rosemary & Lavender essential oils.
And here’s why.
Castor oil helps prevent eyelash breakage and can encourage growth. Almond and coconut oil also encourage eyelash growth and conditions your lashes leaving them soft and shiny.
You can add a very tiny amount of Rosemary and Lavender essential oils to this serum as they may help promote healthy, full eyelashes. I’ve loved the addition of these two essential oils in my serum.
And guess what?! You can also apply this serum to your eyebrows to encourage growth and thickness. Yay!
